BUCKINGHAM - Edward Thomas Ruzicka, 79, of Buckingham, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born Dec. 29, 1927, son of Joseph and Agnes Yuska Ruzicka. He married Lillian Mary Shanda Aug. 19, 1952, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Clutier.

He attended Geneseo School, graduating in 1947. Mr. Ruzicka farmed in Buckingham all of his married life.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Darrell "Bo" (Reba) of LaPorte City and Richard (Chris) of Traer; a daughter, Donna (Darrell) Richardson of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a grandchild.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with burial in Blessing Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home, Traer, where there will be a 4:30 p.m. Scripture service.

A memorial fund has been established.
