CEDAR FALLS - Avis D. Hanson, 59, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo.

She was born July 28, 1947, in Lancaster, Wis., daughter of Avis Floyd and Eldora Sweney Kaap. She married Lonnie Hanson on Dec. 16, 1972, in Peabody, Kan.

Mrs. Hanson worked in the electronic component division of Products Unlimited, Guttenberg, retiring in 2004.

Survived by her husband; a son, Leo of Cedar Falls; two brothers, John (Kay) Turner of Soldiers Grove, Wis., and Martin (Sylvia) Kaap of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Jackie (Walter) Beach of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Jeanette Beardman of Texarkana, Texas; and a grandson, Joseph Lund.

Preceded in death by a brother, William Avis Kaap.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel.
