WATERLOO - Dorothy M. Billman, 84, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Allen Hospital of pulmonary edema.

She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Oelwein, daughter of Henry J. and Clara Dorothea Eichmeier Stickfort. She married Wayne R. Billman on Jan. 19, 1947, at Trinity American Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Mrs. Billman was a Naval officer for the Sea Cadets for 15 years and was a VAVS representative for 17 years at the Marshalltown Veterans Home. She was past president of the VFW, AMVETS, Military Order of the Cooties and Wise Lady Member (YWCA), and was past district president for the VFW.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Darold of Derby, Kan., and Scott (Denise) of Peculiar, Mo.; three daughters, Linda R. Billman of South Dakota, and Elaine (Donald) Buckner and Carol (Edward) Grady, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Paul of Hoquiam, Wash., Viola Fullmer of Aurora, Ill., and Darlene Wiler of Branson, Mo.

Preceded in death by a son, Donald Sr.; a daughter Joan Ethel Billman; a granddaughter; a brother, Raymond Stickfort; and a sister, Marian Bremms.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity American Lutheran Church. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
