Services for Allen J. Lown, 92, of the Ravenwood Health Care Center, are tentatively set for Wednesday. Mr. Lown died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday of complications of old age at the care center.

He was born Sept. 11, 1883, in Jesup, son of Henry and Alice Zimmerman Lown. He retired in 1946 after working 25 years in the carpenter's shop at the Rath Packing Co. He was a World War I veteran and an Army captain of the 133rd Infantry on the Mexican border.

He was never married, he is survived by a brother, Phillip M. Lown, of Charles City, a sister, Mrs. Laura Muller, of 315 Sumner St., and three nephews.
