Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Asmus, 62, of 2530 Rainbow Dr., will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at College Hill Lutheran Church with the Rev. Edgar Brammer officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Dahl Funeral Home.

She died 1:12 p.m. Tuesday in Sartori Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Asmus was born July 19, 1905 in Urbana, the daughter of John and Katie Liebsch. She married Eli Bruce May 5, 1928 in Independence. He died in 1949. She then married Willard Asmus June 24, 1950 in Cedar Falls.

She lived in Waterloo before coming to Cedar Falls in 1942. She was a member of College Hill Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one step-son, Harold Asmus of Ft. Knox, Ky.; a daughter, Madeline Bruce at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Harold Johnson of Manchester and Mrs. John Kisner of Oelwein; a brother, Leo Liebsch of Urbana; two sisters, Mrs. C.W. Coonley of Hialeah, Fla. and Mrs. G. E. Wallingford of Yakima, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents and first husband.
