MRS. MARY E. BENDER

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Bender, 56, 820½ Fourth street east, who died at 5:45 p. m. Saturday, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in the O'Keefe & Towne chapel, Dr. Earl A. Roadman, pastor of Grace Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial was in Fairview.

Mrs. Bender had been forelady at the Fisher Tent & Awning Co. for the last 18 years. She was a member of the Mystic workers.

Surviving besides her husband, are five children: David, Mrs. Myra Stafford, Mrs. Maude Hayes, Mrs. Gladys Johnson and Mrs. Laura Tompkins. Seven grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Esther Lyons, and a sister, Mrs. Julia Garet, all of Waterloo also survive.
