WATERLOO - Patrick James OConnell, 80, of Picayune, Miss., formerly of Waterloo, died Sept. 20, 2005, at Methodist North Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Dennison, son of Harry Edward and Katherine Lingle OConnell. He married Laura Jean Voelschow on Jan. 20, 1946.

Mr. OConnell was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II and had retired from Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. in 1990.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike of Peoria, Ill., Edward of Columbus, Ohio, and Thomas of Rockwell; a daughter, Marilyn Massey of Bartlett, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
