WATERLOO - Vivian Jean Pavelec, 54, of Dysart, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, Dysart, of cancer.

She was born March 16, 1951, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward J. and Violet Schulz Pavelec Jr. She married Steve McAhren, and they were later divorced.

Ms. Pavelec was self-employed.

Survivors include two daughters, Sara Thompson-Brayton of Marengo and Angelique Pavelec of Clutier; three grandchildren, Trinity, Stacey and Cameron Grimm; a brother, Ray (Brenda) Pavelec of Cedar Falls; a sister, Robin (Scott) Williams of Williamsburg; and special family, Chris and Melanie Grimm of Clutier.

Preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Robert and Hattie Schulz and Edward and Louise Pavelec.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with cremation to follow. Friends may call for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
