WATERLOO - William C. Martin, 72, of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services.

He was born March 5, 1942, in Waterloo, son of Gerald and Ruth Hansen Martin. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1960 and had served in the U.S. Air Force in Japan and Pakistan. He worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, 7-Up, and Walmart in Cedar Falls.

Survived by two sisters, Joan (Eugene) Trost of Waterloo and Janet (Jerry) Bell of Carter Lake; and a brother, Dennis (Sue Marr) of Effingham, Ill.

Preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack.”

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.
