EVANSDALE - Iven Koehn, 95, of Evansdale, died at home Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014.

He was born March 22, 1919, in Waterloo, son of Fred and Dora Schellhorn Koehn. He married Laura E. Randolph on Aug. 2, 1946, in Waterloo; she died March 19, 2013.

A graduate of Waterloo East High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Iven worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 18 years, retiring in 1981.

Survived by a son, Kenneth “Ken” of Evansdale; a daughter, Kandra “Kay” Rowell of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Richard (Billie) Rowell and Paula (Del) Ludden, both of Waterloo; five great-grandchildren, Netta Ludden, Brandi Tucker, Shannon Ludden, Jacob Rowell and Christian Rowell; four great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a sister, Betty Rabe of Missouri.

Preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Robert Rowell; and two brothers, Les and Coney.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo, with full military honors accorded by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and the Iowa Army National Guard Honors Detail. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
