WATERLOO - Sharon L. Grier, 71, of Waterloo, died at home Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 of cancer.

She was born April 18, 1943, in Waterloo, daughter of Glenn and Delphia Heinz Trask. She married Dorsie Cooper in Waterloo and they later divorced.

Sharon graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1961 and was a CNA in area nursing homes.

Survived by two sons, Danny Copper and Dorray (Rose) Cooper, both of Waterloo; three daughters, Danette (Kavin) Cooper-Mallett and Quenn (Kevin) Cooper-Sayles, both of Waterloo, and Donna (Russ) Hamilton of Minnesota; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Barnes of Cedar Falls and Bobbie Hamilton of Minnesota; and a brother, Gary Trask of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Dorian Cooper; a daughter, Denise Cooper; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Trask.

There will be no visitation or service. Her body has been cremated according to her wishes. Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, assisted the family.
