WATERLOO - Debra Jean "Debbie" Berger, 61, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.

She was born Sept. 21, 1953, Arkansas City, Kan., daughter of Glenn Leonard and Betty Jean Miller Bagg. She married David W. Berger Sr. on April 12, 1971, in Manchester; he died March 16, 2012.

Debbie worked as an associate coordinator for Cedar Valley Support Services.

Survived by two sons, David (JoAnn) and Daniel (Jessica), both of Waterloo; three daughters, Nicole and Celeste Berger, both of Waterloo, and Jessica Hersh of Evansdale; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Judy) Bagg of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Susan Russell.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Cedar Falls, where visitation begins at 9 a.m., with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Garden View Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Debbie was everyone’s caretaker and enjoyed family meals and gatherings. She liked to look for treasures at the Goodwill stores and at rummage sales. Debbie also enjoyed collecting Indian memorabilia and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
