CEDAR FALLS - Elsie Marie Ford, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born May 12, 1929, in Protivin, daughter of Joseph and Anna Pizinger Komarek. She married Erwin Ford on July 12, 1949, in Protivin. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1999.

Elsie was a 1947 graduate of Rudolphinum High School in Protivin.

Survived by six sons, Dale (Heidi) of Eagan, Minn., Roy (Tina), Danny (Nancy), Randy (Sheila K.) and Darwin, all of Cedar Falls, and Roland (Sheila M.) of Denver; two daughters, Julie Baker of Cedar Falls and Jolene (Bob) Pierson of Waterloo; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda Ford; two great-grandsons; two sisters, Georgene Pecinovsky and Marcie Lukes; and a son-in-law, George Baker.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 4:30 p.m. rosary service and a 7 p.m. vigil service will be conducted. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
