WATERLOO - Robert William "Bob" Miller, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, in Sun City West, Ariz.

He was born April 6, 1925, in Fairbank, son of W. H. and Elizabeth Welsh Miller. In 1947, he married Lucille Birchard.

He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Fairbank. Bob and his wife made their home in Independence until 1953 when they moved to Waterloo. Bob worked for Rath Packing Co. until 1967 when he took a job with Farwell, Ozmun, Kirk Hardware and moved to Sioux City. In 1984, he and Lucille moved to Sun City West.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Beth Miller (Tom Swenson) of Davenport, Susan Miller of Phoenix, and Karen Miller of Lincoln, Neb.; and a granddaughter, Andrea Sweeting of Lincoln.

Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marian Beldon; two brothers, Charles and Gerald; and a grandson, Matthew Sweeting.

Services will take place in Sun City West.
