WATERLOO - Jake S. Peterson, 23, of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center of complications of pneumonia.

He was born on April 7, 1991, in Waterloo, son of Mark S. and Joyce D. DeBar Peterson.

He attended Expo High School in Waterloo and attended Trinity Bible Church, Cedar Falls. Jake worked as a DJ at a popular nightclub in the Cedar Valley.

Survived by his parents, of Cedar Falls; a sister, Jessica (Josh) Brandt of Parkersburg; two nephews, Abel and Jonathan Brandt; his maternal grandmother, Elinor DeBar of Waterloo; and paternal grandparents, Dale (Kay) Peterson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond DeBar.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Bible Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jake enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time fishing and hunting.
