DUNKERTON - Harley E. Smith, 85, of Dunkerton, died at home Friday, Sept. 19, of a heart attack.

He was born July 23, 1929, son of Frank and Berdina Smith. He married Bonnie Paine in October 1949; they later divorced. He married Patricia Woods on May 26, 1972.

Harley attended school in Evansdale, and he served in the U.S. Army from 1952 through 1954.

Survived by his wife; three children, Jodie (Marc) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Jill (David) Morello of Meriden, Conn., and Scott (Shellie) of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Harley was cremated, and graveside services will be a later date.
