WATERLOO - Elizabeth Marguerite Baseler, 87, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Friendship Village of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Dumont, daughter of Harm H. and Barendina Kole Faber. She married Lyle N. Baseler on March 12, 1941, in Iowa Falls. He died Sept. 26, 1996.

Mrs. Baseler worked for Walden Photo for 10 years. She was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, where she was a Deaconess and a seamstress for the Ladies Missionary Group.

Survivors include three daughters: Marilyn (Raymond) Benfield of Rock Island, Ill., Kathryn (Dale) Kell of Baird, Texas, and Angene Trunnell of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Sonya (Kevin) Doss, Michael (Laura) Melendy, Alex (Lisa) Trunnell, Anthony (Karen) Trunnell and Grant (Kelly) Trunnell; two stepgrandchildren, Brenda (David) Mills and Penny (Rodney) Schumann; eight great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Parr of Tucson, Ariz., and Norma Harrison of Vancouver, Wash.

Preceded in death by two grandsons, Gale Melendy and Nicholas Trunnell; four brothers, Glenn, Dale, Merle and Dick Faber; and two sisters, Mildred Craig and Miriam Scott.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before the services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Elizabeth enjoyed baking, reading and gardening.
