CEDAR FALLS - Edwin L. Marsh, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Cedar Falls, son of Glen V. and Nina M. Lewis Marsh. He married Benita N. Roper on Jan. 10, 1957, in Harvey, Ill. She died March 11, 2009.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1944 and attended the University of Iowa. He was a railroad engineer with Illinois Central (Illinois Central Gulf and later Chicago Central).

Survived by a son, Richard “Scott” of Cedar Falls; and a daughter, Lori Marsh of Lincoln, Neb.

Preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Forman; and a brother, Richard “Dick” Thorne Marsh.

Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Service, with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and for an hour before services Saturday.
