Nora E. "Nellie" Parker, 93, passed away Monday, December 1, 2003 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born May 18, 1910 to Ida Mae (Stout) Bickert. She attended East Waterloo High School and married Harold Burdette Parker in Galena, IL on December 23, 1933. He passed away May 7, 1967.

Nora worked as a switchboard operator at Northwestern Bell and later at Chamberlain's Mfg for 21 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Waterloo Boat Club and the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included archery, fishing, and hunting. She was Iowa State Champion in Women's archery in 1944. She was first runner up in Miss Black Hawk County in 1927.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Karlene J.(David) Kischer-Brown, Waterloo, Kim N. (Keith) Kischer-Larson, Cedar Falls, Keithlyn B. (Achilles) Parigoras, Waterloo, Bivan (Leslie) Kischer, Highland Park, IL. Nine great-grandchildren and son-in-law Kent W. Kischer, Waterloo. Brothers Kenneth Bickert and Stanley Bickert, Littleton and sister Lillian Voshell, Fairbank.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter Barbara J. Kischer. Brothers: Raymond Ludden, Frank Bickert, and Joe Bickert, Jr.
