Harry T. O'Day, 85, of Mallard Point, Cedar Falls. Formerly of 820 Bayard St., Waterloo, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at Allen Hospital.

He was born June 9, 1917, in rural Fredericksburg, son of William and Josephine (Casewell) O'Day.

He married Cleo F. Jensen on November 25, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo. She died April 21, 2002. Harry worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing as a mechanic, retiring in 1982.

Harry and a friend were the first young men in Waverly to sign up for the service during WWII. He served in the Army in the 3485 Ordnance MAM Co. during WWII. He was Honorably discharged as a Sergeant.

He is survived by his primary care giver, Jenny Wahl of Waterloo; a stepson, Mike Jensen of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Jannan and husband Dale Diamond of Springfield, IL; four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and two sisters.
