WATERLOO - Iona M. Patten, 87, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born March 15, 1927, in Luther, daughter of William and Iva Wisecup Patten. Iona did domestic work for several families in the Waterloo area for several years.

Survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Patten Kellogg of Fredricksburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a sister, LaVessa Patten; and six brothers, Don, Carl, Rollo, Herman, Howard and Wooster Patten.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
