WATERLOO - James Gilbert Rolf, 77, of Stevensville, Mont., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Oelwein, son of Henry E. and Clara Webster Rolf. He married Delores Weiss in Waterloo in 1983.

Mr. Rolf was a retired Airborne Express Delivery driver.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Mike, Jim (Lona) and Charles; a daughter, Susan Hendrix (Mike Smith); 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Vernon (Ardee) Weiss, Danny (Robin) Weiss and Craig (Nikki) Weiss; a stepdaughter, Charlene (Steve) Schmitz; and two sisters, Eleanor Rolf and Winifred (Jack Holden) Blum.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Francis Tague; and a brother, Frank.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Whitesitt Funeral Home, with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, both in Stevensville.
