WATERLOO - Michael J. Owen, 51, of the Harmony House, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Allen Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 14, 1957, in Waterloo, son of Larry and Carol McWhorter Owen. He married Marilyn Prang on Aug. 16, 1976, and they were later divorced. He then married Lori Schmidt on Nov. 10, 1984, and they were later divorced.

Survived by his father of Elk Run Heights; his Mother of La Porte City; three sons, Kristopher of Wisconsin, Adam and Andrew, bothof Florida; a daughter, Angela (Brian) Underwood of Alachua, Fla.; a brother, David (Terry) of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Judy (Chet) Schuler and Sue Heideman, both of Waterloo.

Graveside services: 10 a.m. Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Garden View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
