WATERLOO - The Rev. Kenneth Wesley Albright, 68, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at his home of colon cancer.

He was born Jan. 28, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, son of Herman and Dorothy Albright. He married Dale Vorhies on May 19, 1962.

He graduated from Fullerton High School, Orange County, Calif. He worked in management at Thrifty Drug Store until 1964 when he became a personnel manager for Walt Disneyland and later Walt Disneyworld. He then served as a senior pastor for 33 years in six churches located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan and Iowa.

Survived by his wife; a son, David of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a daughter, Diana Ocheltree of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Lauren Albright of Winston-Salem; four grandsons, Zachary and Joshua Albright of Winston-Salem and Nathan and Jonathan Ocheltree of Cedar Rapids; and a great-grandson, Kameron Albright of Winston-Salem.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Pastor Ken will be remembered for his quick wit, his wise counsel, and his uncompromising assertion of biblical truth.
