CEDAR FALLS - Milton Trillin, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 17, 1925, in St. Joseph, Mo. On March 24, 1971, he married Jeanette Milano in Cincinnati.

He graduated from high school in St. Joseph and attended the University of Nebraska, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in business. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.

Mr. Trillin managed AJ August, retiring after 30 years of service. Following retirement, he and his wife moved back to Cincinnati, where he worked part time as a tour guide at Meiers Winery, retiring again after 15 years of employment.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Rita (Tom) Gardner of Waterloo; a stepson, Carl (Tonya) Elliott of Cincinnati; and a grandson, Ben Gardner of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ben Trillin and Harry Carmen.

Graveside services were today at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

He enjoyed watching sports and baseball; he was a Cincinnati Reds fan. Milton will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
