CEDAR FALLS - Dorothy M. Engleman, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 19, 1925, in Iowa City, daughter of William W. and Hazel Mae Cooper Jacobs. She married Robert Engleman on July 20, 1946, at Zion Lutheran Church, Iowa City; he died Aug. 18, 1995.

Survived by a son, Jerry (Rhonda) of Waterloo; three daughters, Robin (Bruce) Enberg of Dulce, N.M., and Kathleen (Darrel) Porter and Kim Pierce, both of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Katie (David) McKenzie, Ben (Jessica) Pierce, Eric Enberg, Christopher Pierce, Cody Engleman and Elizabeth Pierce; two sisters, Ruth Hammar of Holt, Mich., and Ruby Samuelson of Lansing, Mich.; and a half sister, Susan Nordstrom of Crescent.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, David Pierce; and a brother, Charles Jacobs.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or family.
