WATERLOO - E. Louise Dutler Hudson, 91, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, of natural causes.

She was born July 16, 1923, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Art and Helen Bergstrom Rekers. She married Frank Hudson in June 1944 in Newport News, Va., he went MIA and was a POW during World War II. She married Robert C. Dutler on June 25, 1949, in Waterloo; he died Sept. 5, 1990. She remarried Frank Hudson on July 4, 1992, at First Baptist Church, Waterloo.

Louise graduated from Janesville High School in 1942. She was a waitress at Regent Café in Cedar Falls and Friedl's Prime Rib Room in Waterloo. She also was a cook at King's Food Host in Waterloo. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survived by her husband; a son, Doug (Meachelle Mehmen) Dutler of Evansdale; a daughter, Deb Dutler of Iowa City; a granddaughter, Deairra Dutler of Iowa City; a great-granddaughter, Tehya-elektra Louise Dutler; a stepson, Gaylord (Carol Ann) Baker of Canyon City, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Carol Lynn (Don) Herlacher of Mission, Texas; and three stepgrandchildren.

Preceded in death by four brothers: Victor, Roger, Kenneth and Paul; a sister, Betty Lomax; and a stepgrandson.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Locke Funeral Home.
