WATERLOO - Rae Lynne Irwin, 64, of Osceola, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Mo., of sudden heart complications.

She was born Nov. 21, 1949, in Chicago, daughter of Thomas Findley and Wanda Hoffman Johnson. She married Michael B. Irwin on May 26, 1984, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Irwin was a hairdresser for 34 years, owner of the Head Shed beauty salon. Rae was a 2014 Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Master of Arts in Sociology graduate from the University of Central Missouri.

Survived by her husband; a son, Chad Mosley of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Technical Sergeant Emily Irwin-Green (Kenneth "Wade" Green) of Minot, N.D.; two stepdaughters, Lori (Chad) Albright and Jennifer (Brent) Pettigrew, both of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Thomas Findley Jr. of Iowa City; two sisters, Rhonda Doyle of Elmhurst, Ill., and Jan Bradley of Sedalia, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her stepfather, Sigvald Johnson; her mother; and two sisters, Christie "Kitty" Koch and Shelley Fryman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Beginning Wesleyan Church, Waterloo. She is being cremated.

She retired to Osceola where she spent her time painting and enjoying her time with family and friends.
