WATERLOO - Marian A. Elefsrud, 92, of Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab, died there Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, of natural causes.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1921, in New Hampton, daughter of Richard and Pauline Blaska Roethler. She married Earl P. Elefsrud on Nov. 16, 1939, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1997.

Marian worked at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo Register, and Daisy Maid. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church.

Survived by a son, Richard (Dixie) of Waterloo; nine grandchildren Kevin Elefsrud, Brad Elefsrud, Aaron (Danielle) Elefsrud, Robyn (Jerry) Kloydske, Renee (Jeff) Welch, Richelle (Brad) Dowding, Danyelle (K.C.) Doland, Cory (Erin) Elefsrud, and Sommer (Ryan) Budke; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Yearling of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Gary and Robert; five half brothers; seven half sisters; and a sister.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be for an hour before Tuesday services at the chapel.

Marian also bowled for the Waterloo Register Bowling Team and loved to bake and cook.
