CEDAR FALLS - David O. Aneweer, 65, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, July 18, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 9, 1942, in Shell Rock, son of Herman and Harriet Wentworth Aneweer. He married Thelma Spencer June 25, 1961, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Aneweer graduated from Janesville High School in 1960, and had been employed with the city of Cedar Falls operation and maintenance department until his retirement in 2006.

Survived by his wife; a son, Mark (Jenny) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Debi (Joe) Gram and Rebecca "Becki" Aneweer, both of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Jerry of Hudson, Raymond (Virginia) of Cedar Falls, Rogers (Anna Mae) of Odebolt, Robert (Colleen) of Stout and Jim (Judy) of Yuma, Ariz.; and a sister, Bonnie Stevens of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry; and a sister, Dorothy.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Living Water First Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
