Anne Derr, 98, of Ravenwood Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Ravenwood.

Anne was born October 12, 1905, in Waterloo, the daughter of John R. and Elizabeth (Donahue) Crowley. She grew up in Waterloo, attended St. Mary's School, and graduated from there in 1920.

She worked in sales in women's ready to wear, including as manager of the Dixie Store, and also worked at Singer Sewing Machine Company. While Singer's she gave sewing lessons for several years.

Anne married Homer J. Derr on April 5, 1926 in Waterloo. They were married for forty one years, until his death in 1967.

Survived by her son William Derr of Waterloo, three grandchildren, and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer, brothers John and Joe, and sister Catherine McGovern.
