Verna Kennedy, 87, of Rosewood Estates died Friday, October 17, 2003 at her home.

Verna was born March 28, 1916 in York Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota the daughter of John Joseph and Bertha Christine (Iverson) Kennedy.

She attended the Liberty Country School, Graduated from Spring Valley High School, and Graduated from Gates Business College in Waterloo. She worked in what was the Business Office at Iowa State Teacher's College, now the Office of the Controller of the University of Northern Iowa. She retired in 1986 after 45 years of employment.

Verna was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Cedar Falls. She is survived by many cousins.
