EVANSDALE - David Joseph Stewart, 40, of Evansdale, died at home Saturday, May 9, 2009, of natural causes

He was born Dec. 25, 1968, in Waterloo, son of Joseph Edward and Judy Kay McClain Stewart. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survived by his mother, Judy Dawson of Evansdale; a brother, Ryan Clark of Waterloo; a sister, Sherri Wilson of Reinbeck; a niece, Haley Wilson; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Owen of Marble Rock; maternal grandmother, Helen McClain of Waterloo; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfathers, Had Owen and Richard Stewart; and maternal grandfather, Duane McClain.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with private family inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

David loved fishing, bowling and his faithful companion, his dog DeeDee.
