CEDAR FALLS - Olga Madsen, 95, of Cedar Falls, died at the Lutheran Home Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 of natural Vcauses.

She was born Aug. 2, 1910, in Tyler, Minn., daughter of Johannes P. and Jane Keller Johansen. She married Harold H. Madsen on June 16, 1936, in Tyler, Minn. He died Sept. 4, 1983.

Mrs. Madsen was a graduate of Tyler High School and attended Grandview College, Des Moines. She was a clerk at her fathers general store and was co-owner of Harolds Sport Shop, Cedar Falls, retiring in January 1974. She was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. She founded The Reading Circle book club and taught gymnastics in both Tyler and Cedar Falls. She loved her family and was very supportive of her many friends.

Survivors include a son, Glen (Karen) of Marion; a daughter, Lois (Lowell) Lueck of Macomb, Ill.; six grandchildren, Mike (Patty) Madsen, Steve (Michelle) Madsen, Dan (Brooke) Madsen, David (Cindy) Lueck, Diane (Terry) Kestner and Linda (David) Bollivar; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Elna Madsen, and an infant; and three brothers, Arnold, Roland and Ralf Johansen.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the Lutheran Home Chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
