WATERLOO - Louise Quinn Kirsch, 81, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at the Lutheran Home, Cedar Falls, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward and Bertha Klein Quinn. She married Paul Kirsch on May 5, 1947.

Mrs. Kirsch will be remembered for her strength, friendliness, character and her love for her family. She worked most of her life taking care of those she loved. She also was an avid card player, whether it was a good game of bridge or a poker game with the family. She also found time for other jobs during her lifetime. Early in life she worked at the telephone company and later worked at Ben Franklin and Levi Bros.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Margaret (Bill) Buell of Manteo, N.C., Annie (Ron) Kacher, Christine (Al) Schnieders and Katie (Mark) Hildman, all of Waterloo, and Mary (Lon) Kirsch Sinclair of West Des Moines; two sons, Bob (Linda) Kirsch of Cedar Rapids and Andrew Kirsch of Omaha, Neb.; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death a grandson, Adam Clark; six brothers, John, Jim, Dale, Dick, Tom and Russ Quinn; and three sisters, Sue Kemp, Claire Reese and Annette Wolff.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Mulberry Street. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.
