Peter Mangrich, 74, of Gilbertville, died at Schoitz Memorial Hospital yesterday morning of a heart failure shortly after admission.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville with the Rev. Richard Krapfl, pastor, officiating. Rosary will be at Oppold Funeral Home at 3, 7:30 and 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Mangrich was born Dec. 17, 1897* in Gilbertville, the son of Jacob and Susan Nemmers Mangrich. He married Veronica Huberty on Oct. 12, 1920, in Gilbertville. She died Jan. 10, 1946. He then married Ida Phillips on Feb 21, 1949, in Gilbertville.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Surviving are his wife, six sons: Kenneth of 5656 Park Drive, Cedar Falls, Mervin of Rt. 3, Donald of rural Jesup, Gerald of Jesup, LaVern of Rt 4, Waterloo, and Roman of Lodi, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Weber of Jesup, and Mrs. Carl Schneider of Fairbank; three sisters, Sister Theola**, SSND, of Elm Grove, Wis., Sister Henrietta, SSND of Mankato, Minn., and Sister Margaret, SSND, of Milwaukee, Wis.; 40 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, two brothers and six sisters.
