It is with saddened hearts that Lois Weber, 75, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Gladstone, Mo.

Lois was born on Nov. 24, 1938, in Gladbrook, Iowa, to Stanley and Ann Kutin. She grew up in Hudson, Iowa, and was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1956. She married Robert Lindquist in July of 1956, and the two were together 15 years.

Lois resided in Cedar Falls for 57 years where she ran her business of grooming and watching dogs. Lois was a life master at bridge, a friend to all, and had a passion for life.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Lori J. Lindquist of Gladstone, Mo., granddaughter Shannon Janet (Damien) of Kansas City, Mo., granddaughter Ellyn Wood (Tony Civella) and great-granddaughter Sophia Maria Civella, of Kansas City, Mo., sister Shirley Coyne (Don) of Butte, Mont., and brother Dick Kutin (Janice) of Camarillo, Calif.

A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Nazareth Lutheran Chapel (7401 University Ave, Cedar Falls, IA) with a celebration of life to follow at 3413 Carlton Drive (Cedar Falls, IA)

With Lois’ compassion for dogs donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in her name to the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
