Graveside service for Steven Robert McKenna Rewoldt, 61, of Geronimo, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Danny Martin, chaplain of Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, officiating.

Mr. Rewoldt died on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at his home.

Burial will be under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

He was born on April 23, 1945, in Decorah, to Leo Frederick and Mary LaVonne Houlihan Rewoldt. He grew up in Waterloo and graduated from West High School in 1965. He joined the U.S. Navy on June 21, 1965, and attended U.S. Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. After serving in the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged on June 19, 1969. He worked for General Extrusions in Youngstown, Ohio, from October 1970 until his retirement in 2004. He came to Geronimo in 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Gorcheff, of the home; two sons, William Plant and his wife, Kerstin, and Jeff Gorcheff, all of Lawton, Okla.; his daughter, Pattisue MacCord of Geronimo; his grandmother, Lillian Chaney of Cedar Falls; one brother, Ronald Rewoldt and his wife, Toni, of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson; two nieces and one nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, 1930 Ferris Ave., Suite 5, Lawton, OK 73507.
