CEDAR FALLS - Sara Anne McClintock, 55, of Cedar Falls, died July 25, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from complications during surgery for her pacemaker.

She was born Aug. 31, 1958, in Waterloo, daughter of Paul and Clare Staebell.

Sara attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate degree and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa law school. She practiced law in Illinois, California and Iowa. At the time of her death, she worked at the Law Firm of C. Kevin McCrindle.

Survived by two daughters, Shannon and Katelyn McClintock; her mother of Cedar Falls; four sisters, Kathy (Steve) McCrea of Cedar Falls, Suzanne (John) Pezzanite of Goshen, Ind., Maggie (Tim) Thomas of Webster, N.Y., and her twin, Sandra Staebell of Bowling Green, Ky.; and two brothers, Paul J. Staebell of Dunkerton and Robert (Christine Rose) Staebell of Richardson, Texas.

Preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Timothy Staebell.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Barclay, rural Dunkerton, with inurnment in the church cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.

Sara loved to read, garden, and spend time with her beloved dog, Buddy.
