GILBERTVILLE - Betty Ann Dilley, 77 of Gilbertville, died at home Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 of cancer.

She was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Fox Township of Black Hawk County, near Jesup, daughter of Albert and Loretta Kies Weber. On May 4, 1948, she married Albert Anthony Dilley in Gilbertville. He died in 2001.

Mrs. Dilley was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville.

Survived by a son, Dean (Colleen) of La Crosse, Wis.; five daughters, Linda Dilley and Angela (Donn "Butch") Lindsey, both of Waterloo, Carolyn (Steve) Snodgrass of Ferryville, Wis., Vicki (Jack) Carlson of Gilbertville and Nancy Glaspie (Tom Atencio) of Fleming, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ella (Anthony) Even of Gilbertville, Norma Schares of La Porte City, Doris (Bernard) Brown of Dunkerton and LaVonne (Don) Friedly of Waterloo; and three brothers, Arnold (Camilla) and Ronald (Arlene) Weber, both of Jesup, and LaVern (Jan) Weber of Gilbertville.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Raphael, Stanley, Leo and Cleo Weber; a sister, Magdalen Wirtz; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Public visitation after 3 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation also an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
