CEDAR FALLS - Harvey Strauss, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 22, 2014 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 27, 1926, in New York, son of Matthew and Sadie Strauss. He married Suzanne Berdy in New York; she preceded him in death.

Harvey was employed in Quality Control with Guilford Mills Inc., Hillsborough, N.C.

Survived by two sons, Mitchell (Annette Lynch) of Waterloo and Brian (Andrea) of High Point, N.C.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Malvin of Florida.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Allison Strauss; and two sisters, Florence and Selma.

No local services will be held. Richardson Funeral Service assisted the family.
