WATERLOO - Jacqueline “Jackie” Kay Conger, 68, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, July 14, 2014, following a long illness.

She was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Hawkeye, daughter of John Leibrock and Betty Chamberlin Brandes. She married David Conger on April 11, 1964, in Preston, Minn.

Jackie graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1964. She was a maintenance employee for Barmuda Corp. and also worked as a bookkeeper for a family friend.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Dennis (Corinne) of Omaha, Neb., and Craig (Misha) of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Joan Fernau of Dunkerton; five grandchildren, Alayna Herrera Bowen, Kyle Conger, Collin Conger, Katie Conger and Karley Conger; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Conger and Isabella Bowen

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel; and a sister, Marie Adelmund.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with private family burial at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

In her free time, Jackie’s passion was bowling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
