WATERLOO - Bennie F. Milks, 89, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Fairbank, son of Charles W. and Jessie Miller Milks. He married Ruth A. Dietz on Nov. 5, 1949, in Waterloo; she died March 30, 2007.

Bennie worked at Rath Packing Co. in the dry cure department for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He also had worked at John Deere and Chamberlain Manufacturing.

Survived by a son, Terry (Audrey) of Palm Shores, Fla.; a daughter, Kayleen (Mark) Rhinehart of Brooklyn; seven grandchildren, Cassandra, Trey, Cameron, Travis, Cody, Nick and Kaden; a great-grandchild, Kamden; two sisters, Doris Webber of Waterloo and Darlene Glander of Peoria, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, June Robey of Mentor, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his father; his mother, Jessie Tann; two brothers, Raymond and Charles Jr.; and five sisters, Zelma Tann, Thelma Brown, Nelma Owen, Velma Fink, and Wilma Milks in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Bennie was a very kind and giving man to his family and friends.
