CEDAR FALLS - Wanda Van Duyn, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Dunkerton, daughter of Frank and Blanche Smith Kleckner. She married Robert Van Duyn on Sept. 14, 1946, in Waterloo; he died Nov. 8, 1990.

Wanda graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1942 and attended Gates Business College and Iowa State Teacher’s College (UNI). She was employed with WCF&N Railroad for several years. Later she assisted her husband at See Electric and was one of the original owners of K&W Electric. She was a charter member of Orchard Hill Church.

Survived by a daughter, Deb McCalley of Urbandale; a son, Don (Lori) of Decorah; four grandchildren, Stephen (Courtney) McCalley of Berryville, Virginia, Tyler (Sarah) McCalley of Cabot, Ark., Austin (Carrie Brandhorst) McCalley of Hudson and Alicyn (Adam) Aalderks of Marietta, Ga.; and two great-grandsons, Elijah and Micah.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Orchard Hill Church.
