ESKRIDGE, HARDAWAY, RICE

Jesse M. Eskridge, 68, who had resided at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. N. Rice, 402 Baltimore Street, for the past four years, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at Independence, Ia. He had been in failing health for the past six years.

He was born on April 16, 1876 at Vine Grove, Ky. In 1896 he married Mary B. Hardaway at Jeffersonville, Ind. They resided in Louisville, Ky. for many years where he served as a deputy sheriff.

Mr. and Mrs. Eskridge came to Waterloo and made their home with their daughter four years ago. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Waterloo.

The widow and the daughter, Mrs. Rice, Baltimore Street and one grandchild, all of 402 Baltimore Street, survive.

The body was taken to the Kearns Garden Chapel.

Funeral services for Jesse M. Eskridge, 68, who died Saturday at Independence, Ia., will be at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at Kearns Garden Chapel. Rev. Gilbert S. Cox, pastor
of First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
