WATERLOO - Albert R. Belthuis, 66, of Waterloo, died at home June 14, 2014 of natural causes.

He was born May 5, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Fred R. and Mildred Schallenberger Belthuis.

A 1967 graduate of Waterloo East High School, Albert worked at the Pizza Hut in Cedar Falls for 15 years, and also worked at various cook jobs in Arizona and Cedar Falls. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam.

Survived by two brothers, Neil of Glendale, Ariz., and John of Waterloo; and a sister, Becky Walters of Dysart.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gerald.

Graveside services: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Iowa Veterans' Cemetery, Van Meter.
