Mrs. C. A. Parker, 73, of 81 Quincy Street, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack at University Hospital, Iowa City, where she had been a patient for eight weeks.

Born Dec. 23, 1870, in Greene County, daughter of William and Matilda Coombs, she remained there until she was married to C. A. Parker, June 2, 1897, and came to Waterloo.

During the 47 years she spent in Waterloo she was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. and past president of the Grand International Auxiliary of Engineers.

Surviving are the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Richard Ginwe, Aurelia, Ia, and Mrs. Harold Brown, Iowa City; one son, A. W. Parker, Peoria, Ill., and seven grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and six sisters.

Services will be at the Glawe home in Aurelia at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday and at the Congregational church at 3 p. m., with burial at the Aurelia Cemetery.
