WATERLOO - Helen L. Cummings, 84, of Dysart, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Dysart.

She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Waterloo, daughter of Max and Anna Ketner Dawson. She married Howard Cummings June 1, 1940, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 14, 1972.

She was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and had been a manager for Earl Mays, retiring after 40 years.

Survived by a brother, Harold (Catherine) Dawson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Donald Dawson; and two sisters, Eva Ayers and Betty E. Smith.

There will be no services. Burial was at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
