CEDAR FALLS - Carolyn R. “Lyn” Goss, 84, of Cedar Falls, died at home Thursday, June 12, 2014.

She was born March 6, 1930, in Huntington, Ind., daughter of Thomas “Adam” and Florence (Murphey) Hipskind. She married Robert “Bob” Goss on March 28, 1951, in Huntington.

Carolyn was a graduate of Huntington Catholic High School and was a florist at Flowerworld in Waterloo for twenty years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls, where she was a lector and communion server.

Survived by her husband of Cedar Falls; a son, Larry Goss, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Kathy Hansen of Bedford, Texas, and Nancy Buck of Waterloo; five grandsons; a great granddaughter; and a sister, Betty Beverly, of Burbank, Calif.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Goss; a grandson, Roger Goss; a brother, Hubert Hipskind; and three sisters, Eleanor Heintz, Christine Affeldt and Connie Sechrengost.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be held for an hour before service at the church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
