Dow Leversee, 93, a pioneer resident of Mt. Vernon Township died early Tuesday at the Allen Memorial Convalescent home.

Funeral services will be 2 p. m. Thursday at Dahl funeral home with the Rev. E. W. G. Wort-all officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 25, 1867, in Mt. Vernon Township near here, son of Austin and Mary Leversee, and had farmed in this area most of his life.

He was a 50-year member of Black Hawk lodge 65 and member of the Shriners.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Robert Buckmaster, Four Seasons Dr., Waterloo, and sister, Mrs. Blanche Wangler Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant son.

His wife was Millie (White) Leversee 1873-1913. She died shortly after giving birth to twins, one of which also died.
